What is Solis?
Solis is settlement infrastructure for legal disputes. When two parties have agreed in principle to resolve a matter, Solis carries that agreement through to completion: it generates a standardized, lawyer-vetted settlement agreement, holds the settlement funds in a smart-contract escrow, and, upon the recipient’s acceptance, releases payment to the recipient, the neutral, and the protocol in a single, simultaneous on-chain transaction. Payment is made in USDC, a dollar-denominated stablecoin, on the Ethereum network.
Solis is a software tool. It is not a law firm, a bank, an escrow agent, or a court. It does not negotiate on your behalf, decide who is right, or provide legal advice.
Is the product live? Is this real money?
Yes. Solis is live at solis.network and settles real value — real USDC on Ethereum mainnet. Transactions are real, final, and irreversible, and are permanently recorded on a public blockchain. Use amounts you are prepared to send, and confirm every detail before you sign. (A separate test environment is available if you want to try the workflow first with valueless test tokens.)
Who is Solis for right now?
Solis is built for neutrals, mediators, arbitrators, and lawyers who already manage settlements and want a faster, verifiable way to execute the payment and the paperwork. A neutral sets up the matter; the paying party (the Payor) funds it; and the receiving party (the Recipient) accepts. Direct party-to-party use, without a neutral, is planned for a later stage.
What does Solis cost?
The Solis protocol fee is 2% of the settlement amount, charged only when a settlement closes. It is added on top of the settlement: the Payor pays the settlement amount + any neutral fee + the 2% fee, and the Recipient receives the full settlement amount. If the matter is rejected or cancelled, the full amount is returned and no fee is charged. If the matter expires, the Payor must submit the available refund transaction; after it confirms, the full amount is returned and no fee is charged. There is no subscription and no upfront fee.
